Meagh grew up in Swampscott, a small beach town just north of Boston, Massachusetts. Gifted with a natural artistic talent, she became enthralled by the creative process at an early age, spending most of her free time either painting or drawing. As she grew older she began to develop a passion for hair, realizing that she could use her artistic expression to help people look and feel like they’re on top of the world.
Although Meagh wanted to pursue her passion for the creative arts, her parents insisted that she continue her standard education. She attended Merrimack College and graduated with a bachelors degree in sports medicine for athletic training. After working in the physical therapy field for two years she realized that although she loved helping people, this was not the job for her. It was then that she decided to finally pursue her artistic passion by attending Empire cosmetology school in Malden, Massachusetts.
Shortly after graduation Meagh and her husband moved to his hometown in Western Massachusetts where she got a job working as an assistant in a salon. Spending so much of her life painting, she found her self instantly drawn to color theory and worked hard to prove herself.
Meagh attended as many hair classes as she could outside of her salon, believing that education was the sure path to success. She attended a Masters of Balayage class and was awed and inspired by their “no secrets approach” to education. When she discovered that Masters of Balayage was holding auditions for new educators she jumped at the opportunity and applied. Now a proud member of the team, Meagh can’t wait to share her MOB education with growing stylists.
