Filters, like the ones used on Instagram or TikTok, are the unsung hero of the hair world right now. Allowing you to "try on" new hair before the scissors even come out of the drawer can help avoid tragedy. Apps like Facetune or even the built in filters on social media can help manipulate hair color, cut, and more to show clients what a deep red tone would look like with their skin or to preview a blunt bob with their jawline.

While admittedly, this is less photo-real than many TikTok filters, this free app is another good option for doing a style test run on a real photo.

If you're a user already, this might be the easiest way to quickly show a client what a style could look like. Take some time to save filters to your favorites that are popular colors or styles for easy use!
